Contest- Princess Hibiscus

For 's 'Make a Nintendo Princess' contest.

At first, I was kind of at a loss for what flower to use for her name. I was at a loss for MOST of this picture. The only part I had little to no trouble with was the colors.

It was thanks to my mom that I was reminded of the Hibiscus. I would've chosen Cryssanthemum (I'm sorry if that's wrong spelling).

If you don't know what a hibiscus is, it's a tropical flower that comes in various colors (I myself have only seen orange and pink, and that was in a Hamtaro game), but grow lighter/ turn a different color towards the center (at least of the ones I've seen). The ones I had seen get whiter going towards the center, so that's what I passed her hair off of. Her crown represents a more visual interpretation of the flower I mean. It's not growing from her head. I just thought I'd go outside the box.

Princess Hibiscus is a very active girl. She's a balance between girly-girl and tomboy. She's not a dress-wearing girl, she wears skirts more than anything else. She's really tall, especially with the heels, and her skirts aren't all that short when you don't see them on her (the rule was not to make the clothes whorish/slutty). Her kingdom is unknown, and if you ask her age, she'll just tell you 'Eh, I'm 20-something, maybe almost 30. Stopped counting.' So no matter how young she looks, no one knows how old she really is.

Almost NOTHING on this woman is just one color. All her nails are different colors, she's heterochromatic, her shirt and skirt have multiple colors, her shirt gem even changes colors. Yes, like a mood ring. The shade and color of the jewel depends on her mood (like bright blue if she's happy and regular blue if she's calm). She's practically a walking rainbow. Her favorite color, though? White. Why? She won't tell. I say it's because white's on practically everything, including her hair and crown. Even if she wears dark colors (which she doesn't mind), she likes white more than any color.

She doesn't mind if you give her nicknames. You can make one yourself, but her most used ones are Hibby and Biscuit. But don't call her the latter when she's hungry or serious, because you'll see that little gem turn red in a second.

Is her crown a REAL flower? Yes. But it doesn't die. It wilts when she gets super pissed, and it blooms when she's overjoyed, but other than that, it will stay the way you see it.

I hope that's enough of a background for her. I know that's not the kind of background he meant in the rules, but I thought I'd give it a shot.

Drew this yesterday, did in Sai today. I know it sucks, but I got really lazy, sorry. I got up really early today and started working on this (and i still have another contest entry to work on that's due on the 31st. I drew it already, just got to lineart it and stuff, and I can't afford to get lazy. There's an interview and a tablet [first and second place] at stake.), so I didn't do any shading.

Do you like? I really like her. She's a pretty unique character, at least by my standards. And when you have 200+ OCs, uniqueness doesn't pop up as often as you want. And I'm not used to making OCs for existing fandoms anymore. I stopped that years ago (even though I recently made a PW OC)
